Alnatura Migros new organic concept store opens in August

Alnatura of Germany and Switzerland’s largest retailer Migrosrevealed that the launch of a new concept store for organic markets is planned to open in late August in Zurich-Hongg. The concept was announced by Götz Rehn, founder and managing director of Alnatura GmbH in Bickenbach, and Jörg Blunschi, Leader of the Migros Cooperative Zurich (GMT). To be called Alnatura Migros organic markets is based on the successful concept in Germany, Alnatura the Super Natural Markets.
Alnatura and Migros see many similarities in their business principles: sustainability, cultural initiatives and the demand for a sensible economy are both a fundamental concern: “In collaboration with Migros, we see a big opportunity to be more meaningful for customers and to strengthen the organic initiatives in Switzerland, “said Mr Rehn.
Alnatura has reported 13% more revenue for the six months to March 2012. The organic trading company said jobs for 100 new employees could be created with a double-digit sales increase expected for the current fiscal year ending September 2012.
