The firm says retailers are recognising the fact that the perception of fresh and local can lead to increased sales, thus store design and layout has been adapted to reflect this.
Adrian Dale, managing director at Polymer Logistics UK, said the new wood effect crate presents the opportunity for retailers to switch away from non-descript plastic crates, offering robust product protection during transportation and is both foldable and stackable to maximise truck and store space.
“Here at Polymer we believe that this represents a major breakthrough in terms of store enhancements and are confident that if retailers invest in the Wood Effect crate they will see a major uplift in sales”.
