UNEARTHED EXPANDS THE OLIVES CATEGORY WITH FOUR NEW LINES
Mediterranean food brand, unearthed is launching four exotic new olive variants into the antipasti category this summer.
Each product has a new flavour combination that is a first for the UK market.
On Waitrose shelves now, the range includes Mojito Olives, Olives with Rosemary & Black Pepper, Piri Piri Olives and Harissa & Lemon Olives.
The new launch comes as demand for olives continues to grow with sales up 7.9% year on year with volume up 3.2%.

This increase is set to be further fuelled by the Olympic celebratory period.

“Our olive range has always proved extremely popular with discerning foodies who are looking for innovative, premium quality ingredients.
“With more consumers now wanting to push the boundaries, and experimenting more in the kitchen, we wanted to launch a unique range that tapped into the growing popularity of emerging flavours such as piri piri and harissa.
“We are confident that the new products will really capture the imagination of consumers shopping the antipasti chiller aisle.”
The new range has been designed to complement unearthed’s existing olives portfolio and aims to drive further growth within the olives category.
Mojito Olives (£2.69,140g) feature plump olives, mixed with a blend of lime, mint leaves and parsley.
Olives with Rosemary & Black Pepper (£2.69,150g) is a combination of olives, fragrant rosemary and black pepper.
Piri Piri Olives (£2.69,175g) contains little green olives, stuffed with pimento paste and dressed with a spicy piri piri dressing and are not for the faint hearted.
Harissa & Lemon Olives (£2.69,155g) are made with green harissa – coriander, parsley and chilli – and lemon zest.
The unearthed range of olives is available from Waitrose stores nationwide, Ocado and independent retailers.
